Acrylic latex sealants are water-based acrylic polymers, based on acrylic emulsion polymers, which are simply a dispersion of polymers in water that are a very specific size. These emulsions can then be combined with coatings, sealers, or other products to improve resistance, adhesion, and other valuable properties.

Acrylic emulsion latex sealants are primarily used indoors, and have the added advantage over other sealants of being paintable. Due to it being water-based, it’s also more environmentally friendly and safe, not releasing the VOCs that other sealants do.

• Ottopol 300 is a low odor and low foam cement sealer with excellent stability to calcium ions. When applied over bare wood, it exhibits excellent resistance to cracking and flaking as well. Its heavy molecular weight makes it much more durable and far less likely to pick up dirt. 
• Ottopol 1320 is an anionic acrylic emulsion with outstanding chemical, water, and abrasion resistance. It’s also alkali-tolerant, retarding the efflorescence of sealers for terrazzo and masonry.
• Ottopol 1450 has excellent UV, chemical, abrasion, and wear resistance, as well as resistance to blush. This anionic acrylic emulsion polymer is best used in wood and cement sealers. 
• Ottopol 1960 is a high solids binder suited for high performance sealants, patching compounds, and contact adhesives, as well as coating formulations. This anionic acrylic emulsion has excellent adhesion to a range of substrates, including metal, plastics, and masonry.
