Gellner Industrial is dedicated to keeping our customers updated on what’s new at our company and in our industry. Today, we are announcing that we are changing the name of the product formerly known as Wonderwet™ IV to Ottopol 25-25, in keeping with the rest of our products and our brand.
A History of Collaboration and Innovation
Wonderwet™ IV was a concept originally created by Morgan Associates, a partner and common collaborator with Gellner Industrial. Our team then developed that original product in the lab for our partner, and Wonderwet IV was born. Recently, we’ve inherited full responsibility for this acrylic polymer solution, and while we will always be grateful for the contributions of our partner, we also want to provide a more comprehensive Product Directory for our customers. You can now find Wonderwet IV under the listing Ottopol 25-25, including all technical and safety information regarding the product.
About Ottopol 25-25
Ottopol 25-25 is a water-soluble acrylic polymer resin designed to retard the drying speed of water-based paints, a variety of printing inks, and many different adhesives. It replaces the more toxic propylene or ethylene glycols and offers a much safer way to improve the drying rate and solubility of a variety of coatings and inks. Ottopol 25-25 is also entirely VOC free, making it much more environmentally friendly without sacrificing its performance. This acrylic polymer solution is especially effective in improving the wet edge or open time of low to zero VOC paints and coatings when the glycols and other solvents are replaced or reduced.
Ottopol 25-25 offers many different benefits for paints, including improved flow, leveling, and gloss. This acrylic resin also offers excellent UV ray resistance, making it perfect for exterior paint and a variety of other applications.
